WOW or WIP’s starts to day over on Esther’s blog
First thing this morning I appliquéd down a circle so I can say I did do some sewing today?????

Sitting at my machine this morning just before 7am it was so beautiful I had the louvers wide open and it felt like I was sitting outside Spring is here.
As I typed the date just now I realised there are only 3 months left of 2018? I have to say this year has disappeared So quickly, I have done so many things and done a lot of sewing to help it go so quickly but I still can not believe 2019 is so close? I have 7 UFO’s I’m working on so they are all looking the same as last week most of them, I do a little on each one most days this helps my back and arthritis not working in the same position for to long?

During the week all leaves appliquéd plus yellow circles, red circles iron down waiting to be appliquéd.

Starting my first circle at 7am before I did any thing to day I wanted to make sure at least one circle was appilqued down today LOL.

Love this double blanket stitch for Appliqueing small pieces. It’s one stitch at the time on these small circles but far far faster than hand appliqué and my hands don’t get sore any more? BUT I do miss not been able to hand appliqué for hrs?

UPDATE :- Wednesday night Australian time . I Have been working on the Centre this afternoon and tonight, finished appliqueing all the leaves and circles down, added the deep purple flange, then the grey border, then two sides of the deep pink flange and have pined the other two sides of the pink flange but to tired to sew them on its 10.30pm in Australia so stopping sewing now. I’ve just placed the light olive green fabric around the centre, with luck it will be added tomorrow.
Sadly thats all I have to share sewing wise this week but the garden is lovely so will share that instead.

Last night I nearly stood on a snake in the gape between the car and white post, my closest in-counter with a snake and hope it’s the last! They are on the move this time of the year to mate after winter.

Hubby spoilt me last week with a bunch of red roses and Lillie’s, the Lillie’s perfume is penetrating the house and all through the garden, I have them on the front veranda as the perfume is to strong if I have the flowers inside.
Well if you are still reading you have a lot of patience LOL. Off to link with Esther’s WOW or WIP’s on Wednesday’s.
Thanks for stopping by. Cheers Glenda.
Your garden always looks so colorful and beautiful, that orchid, WOW! My flowerbeds are rather dreary and scraggly now. Your machine applique looks so nice, you are really becoming an expert at this. Have a great week!
Morning Gretchen, our garden is full of strong exotic colurs right now which means the creepy crawlers will be back soon as the rains start. I don’t mind them it’s the snakes I don’t like so many are deadly here, of the most 25 deadliest snakes in the world 21 of them live in OZ and we have the deadliest? So my heart was pounding for a long time after nearly standing on that snake. We do have a lot of tree snakes here which are not deadly thank goodness but I did not stop to find out which kind of snake it was, I just know it was coiled up and very long!!! LOL Cheers Glenda
I would love to be able to have the view you have while sitting at your sewing machine. Everything is so lovely, the orchids, the trees, the plant with a red heart shaped leaf/flower. . . Such beauty.
Morning Robin and thanks for dropping in, yes it is wonderful to sit there and look out in to the garden when I need a break, with the louvers open it’s like sitting out side. My view looks down to the river and then up in to the range, one never tires of looking at water it is so moody and is all ways changing. I use to go canoeing on it as there is a weir just below us so it’s like a lake rather than a fast flowing river. After the weir are wonderful rock pools for swimming then the BarronFalls that look magnificent in the wet season in the floods. Every thing is very fibrinant and colours in the tropical flowers have to be seen tobelieve so my quilts are mostly influenced by these colours. Cheers Glenda
Your morning view is lovely and as always your garden is full of beautiful colors. Hate snakes. Glad the one you encounter wasn’t a bad one. Enjoy your stitching time.
LOL It was a very nasty snake Kyle, most of them are except the tree snakes. I still get shivers when I think how close I was to standing on it. Garden is lovely this time of the year. I noticed this morning when I took my granddaughter for a swim in our pool I had around 12 lovely big Hoya flowers in full bloom. Such beautiful flowers and the perfume is unbelievable. Cheers Glenda
Beautiful quilt, and awesome garden 😉 Enjoy spring time!
hope you are doing well glenda – we have been traveling and well be for some time to come still. I am blogging while we travel but I am not linking to the weekly link ups as it is difficult to get a connection and have had no cell service even at some places we have been. Just wanted to let you know that I am skimming through your weekly blog when I can and to let you know that I am still blogging when I can.
So lovely to hear from you Karen, I do miss you on the Wednesdays when you are away. I did not blog this week on WOWO or WIP’s as one of my sons flew up to spend 4 days with me and I forgot about every thing and just enjoyed his company. He’s a teacher and lives about a 2 1/2 hr flight from us so it was wonderful to see him. He’s a school teacher and its school holidays in our state. I did write a blog to day 6 and 6 2018 with Meredithe and Anne, challenge is to work on 6 UFO’s and 6 new projects over 2018 !!!!! Ive well and trully meet the goal this year? Hugs from OZ
