I did not complete any of my Ufosin2017 but have worked on some of my earlier ones here and there, my time has been spent on two BOM’s I should not have started this year but did LOL Hopefully as I’m keeping up with these two monthly releases they wont become UFO’s too !!!!!!!

Pulled out this 1930’s quilt top to may be baste and start quilting it but put it away again I’m so over committed LOL

Finally I have made my 24 little squares for The Secret Garden squares for the centre of it. This is one of the BOM’s I’m working on this year and I’m on track with this at the moment.

My arthritis in my hands is getting bad so have decided to teach my self to machine appliqué and to do this I’m machine sewing and appliquéing Diamond Hill free BOM by Esther Aliu this year, my goodness there is so much to learn but by going very very slow on the peddle I’m learning!!!!! plus I keep my seam ripper close by LOL

DGD 4 saw this in one of my boxes and loved it, played eye spy with it, so we are turning it in to a wee cuddly quilt for her, she has learnt how to use pins when we sandwiched it, then she has been learning to use the peddle on the machine she is very quick at picking things up.

I had a birthday this month and Hubby gave me a wooden planter plus all the new herbs such a wonderful gift

These wee chappies have moved in to our pond area, tonight I nearly stood on them there were about 20 of them all sitting looking up waiting for food to fly past LOL
So thats me for this month achieving a lot but not on my 17 Ufosin2017!!!!!!!
Hopefully July will see some of my Ufosin2017 worked on!!!!!!!
Thank you Meredith for trying to keep us on track LOL Cheers Glenda
Nice progress on so many projects!
I’d say you’ve had a great month. Your current BOM’s are gorgeous. There is so much detail in each one, meaning they are taking a lot of time. The quilt you and your granddaughter is making is lovely. I think you might be starting the next generation of quilters . I always love seeing your yard. It’s a tropical paradise. I love in an area where we barely get 13″ of rain a rain. Big difference!
you work on so very many I can’t keep track of them all!! love that secret garden quilt – so very pretty. I know what you mean about the hands and needing to learn more machine work – I really need to try to learn machine applique but my hands haven’t given up on my yet so I keep doing by hand. One day I need to search out machines and find a mid-price nice machine for applique and able to do some machine quilting also – the Juki I have is straight line only and I love it but nice to have a nice zigzag etc – I have a small Janome that has a little bit of stitches on it but it is not a reliable machine.
You may not have worked on your 17in2017UFOs ……. but what a lot you achieved!! I love your new herb planter!
How sweet to see your photo collection of your works!! It is hard for me to imagine how long you spent time for them. Love the colors you picked up and I like the photo of your new wooden planter . Such a pretty and dreamy space!
Thank you for your visit. You have a little Japanese language? You wrote ….. San, in Japanese way.
Happy day to you.
Happy belated birthday! What a lot of beautiful projects, I seriously could not pick a favorite! Sounds like you had a month like me – happily working away and making great strides just not on any of the 17 lol!! Have a lovely weekend whatever you decide to work on 🙂
Helen
Thanks Helen, I sure had fun this last month but not on my Ufosin2017 like you said LOL I’m still trying to keep up with Diamond Hill and The Secret Garden!!!!!! they are very detailed, I’m machine appliquéing DH as I’m teaching my self machine appliqué this year with the help of Jenny in NZ??? but it still needs lots of hand work, TSG is very very time consuming but oHHH so beautiful. Cheers Glenda
Hi Helen, like you I was having a lot of fun but not working on my Ufosin2017 and now this month is flying by and still not a stitch done!!!!! But I’m keeping all most up to date with my BOM’s this year. I should have only done one I always chew off more than I should LOL… Cheers Glenda
Well done, Glenda! Lots going on and Substantial Progress made! Love the planter box and especially that 1930’s diamond hexagon top.
