WOW OR WIP’S this week with Esther.
This was such a frustrating blog to write Id think it was saved and then I’d go to upload more photos and the ones I thought were saved were not there I must have uploaded every photo 3 or 4 times my connection I realise now is almost zero. But Ive made it and still have my computer its not over the cliff LOL.
Every day I plan to work on my Golly quilt top but every evening it looks the same I get caught up in the garden there is so much that needs to be done before the next wet starts,

But it still looks the same !!! But when looking for my miss placed triangles I found 12 round cut out shapes for my balloons here so thats a plus!!!!!
Then come night time I need to sit down as I’m to tired to stand and cut and sew!!!!! Only sewing that has been done is each night I have worked on appliquéing my wee triangles for part 7 of The Secret Garden how I love making these wee blocks just love the colours.

I made 4 about two months ago and when we did so alterations I put things away quickly and now still looking for them very very frustrating.
My 4 sewing space has been very empty this week !!!!

Nothings been cut for weeks except bias strips for my part 7 of SG

My days are just NOT long enough my Hearts Desirer languishes on my spare guests bed but will have to be removed by next month for guests LOL I will just have to stop reading!!!!!

Such lovely soft colours pink, blue and green. Ive just washed them and they ahve come up like new now to iron them.
But my garden is slowly recovering from the long wet and we are doing heavy prunning and clearing before the next wet.

My hoya is in full flower again such a beautifyl flower yo have in any garden and it grows wild here.

My herb stand is over flowing with herbs now and its so lovely to go and pick some of them each evening for dinner.

Beans that Hubby brought home to plant out last Friday are tripled in size and I will have to add another row of string to support them as they grow I just hope I don’t just get stalks and no beans LOL which does happen if it gets to hot here in the tropics but I keep been hopeful LOL

These are air-ferns will keep growing long after every other fern has died, they grow in to HUGE ferns around a tree trunk 2 metres deep and 1 metre wide and are locally called birds nests when they do this.

My area in the garden I made last week looks like it has all ways been here even the ground iris’s have flowered for me in this area.
UP date 1.30pm now Ive been repotting my hanging baskets

Having fun in the sun playing with potting mix while the sun dries my clothes using my sundeck patio table for my potting table I did put some news paper down first!!!!! LOL
Well thats it for this wednesday time to get back in tot he garden and repot some hanging baskets before they die.
thanks for dropping in and reading this far LOL Off to link with
Esther Aliu now on her Weekly WOW or WIP’s Cheers Glenda
Dear Glenda
WOW! We have the same issue. Reading books in our down time, working in the garden and then having very little energy to sew. I did manage to prep some more LE and make one 365 block. LOL. Our beans only grow about a foot high, then produce one batch , then they are done.
Wow — you have wild irises that come up like WEEDS in your yard?! I love irises. Your applique projects are so beautiful. I know what you mean about the reading vs. stitching dilemma. You need to try those audio books so you can listen to someone else read the books to you WHILE you are stitching!
Hi Rebecca yes these iris are much smaller than the commercial ones you by but they are prolific and I have to keep pulling them out as they do grow like weeds, they are day irises so they give a lovely splash just for a day. then another flowers usually have two or 3 open for around 3 months. I usually listern and 1/2 watch a DVD when hand sewing it helps the time fly by. Thanks for dropping in. Cheers Glenda
wild iris’s – they almost looked like orchids when I first started to scroll through so very pretty! you are busy as also – I too read several books a week, sometimes as many as 3 or 4 I tend to read more in the summer than in the winter for some reason – mainly as the weather is so nice to sit outside on the porch but yet too hot to be in the sun working on the yard and I need to pick and choose my hours to do that. I do a lot of reading in the winter as well.
All of your quilts are looking lovely and I know what you mean about blog problems – have been there!
Oh Glenda, so many beautiful things. I always say it: I love your garden.
We rename it in Germany Park. I know it’s a lot of work.
Have a nice week, Marita
Hi Marita another Wednesday has past and to day I’m finally locked in my sewing room to finish of my Golly quilt as the little girl it is for arrives from Franc on the 4th of Oct and will take it back home with her, she is only 2 plus but avery very special little girl in my life. At the rate I’m working to day on it it will be finished this week and I can spread it on her bed for her. Cheers Glenda
Your garden is lovely and the sewing will happen when it happens.
LOL It happened this morning Kyle but I unpicked 50% of it but hopefully I’m on track now its months since I sewed seams on my machine and my mind was out in the garden and not on the job LOL If I’m lucky I will complete sewing all the Golly blocks together this avo and tomorrow start appliquéing all the wee balloons and strings down. Garden is calling like a siren but I have earplugs in LOL Cheers Glenda
