Hello again every one. No I’m not dead just family hit me starting of Dec so my sewing world all most stopped. School holidays finished this past weekend then we had a public holiday and finally now I think I’m back to normal or as normal is in our home LOL. I apologise for not answering my last messages, but life out side the sewing world just took over.
Where I left you in November

Starting to work on my 1st Love Always border designed by Esther Aliu? This is where I left you in nov. 2018?

I made my 3 Rose blooms first, I’m so in love with the magnificent blooms Esther designed for the Love Always borders. I’m using mostly silks in these borders.

Next I made up the two toned leaves love making these leaves up. Those who know me in the quilting world will know I love circles and leaves when doing applqiue LOL

Making my bloom on top of a Teflon sheet that is over the shape of this bloom from the pattern. I place from the top of the bloom first which is the palest lilac then my greys on the side, my tow purples then the deep purple my leaves then finally the stem and iron them down as I go???

Adding lots of different coloured leaves but trying to keep this border dreamy and subtle????? Not my normal strong bright colours LOL
Well that’s caught up with Love Always .
A little from the garden that was not water logged back in Nov 2018
Thanks for dropping in . Now going to start another blog about my Centre I made for Hold Onto Your Heart Esther Aliu’s 2019 BOM which is going to be one amazing journey through 2019?
Happy stitching All Cheers Glenda .
Hey there Glenda,
Glad to hear you have not been washed away! I saw your Falls on the News!!!
Thinking of you Cheers Wendy
Hi Wendy, it seems like I’m in the fast lane and still can not catch up on my mail and messengers LOL We are still very very wet But nothing like poor Townsville. It will be months cleaning up down there when it finally stops raining so they can close the dam????? Falls are still roaring as the Tinaroo dam is over flowering the spill way and till that stops the falls are magnificent to see. Just wish my days where not so busy so I could get back to sewing. Cheers from FNQLD. ?????
I’m glad you had a good time with your family. You’ve got another beautiful applique project going. The flowers look lovely. I shut my eyes and dream of sipping coffee with you on your veranda while being barefooted. It’s frigid here but my inside Amaryllis do have flower buds so I’ll have some blooms sometime. Happy Stitching!
Hi Gretchen, At present you would not want to walk around bear feet it is so so so wet and leech’s and ticks every where in the garden. We have had so much rain, a town just 5 hrs drive from us ha shad more rain in the last week and they normally get all year, sadly they have many homes under water and its a disaster area???? We are lucky compared to them. We had a major problem with water seeping under the house like little taps been left on, but Rod bought a huge tarpaulin and has covered the whole of the front patio with it and the rain drains in to the run off drains and the seepage has stoped thank goodness. Our grandson and his partner are coming to stay for a week and he is going to dig out all the slips under the house so we are very very happy. Roll on Autumn so the rain will stop???? SO no sewing was happening last month and none this month yet ????? I have been doing a little hand sewing on my mums memory blocks but that all. Hugs Glenda
Dear Glenda
Sift glad to hear you are okay, thought perhaps it was the hot weather, family is the best. Spending precious time with them is a gift. Even thought these colours are muted, they look amazing together. THANK you for the beautiful nature pictures. We have just had a massive snow storm yesterday. I disappeared up to my hips in the snow when we stepped outside to shovel the snow. First time that happened.
Hi Maggie you sure have been through a very very cold time, been following it on the news> Hope this does not happen for another 100 years????? While you are freezing cold we are having so much rain, and other parts of OZ are burning ????? Crayz weather every where around the world. But we did have a wonderful time over Dec and all Jan with family. School has started again so Grandie’s are back at school and I won’t see them again till April school holidays. Sad they grow up so quickly. We are lucky enough to have Liam and Charlie coming to spend a week of their holidays with us, Liam is our eldest Grandson. Hope you kept warm in all that awful cold that loomed over you all in Northern USA and Canada???? Hope you have a snow shovelling machine??? the snow will be so deep?? Hugs Glenda
you should be raring to go and pick up your sewing with all kinds of ideas after taking a long break like that – but I bet it was nice to see all the family
Hi Karen Yes rearing to go but life keeps happening with family LOL. But to day I sat down this morning for 3 hrs with another quilter and we stitched and laughter all morning. It was so lovely to be sititng with another quilter just hand stitching. I must admit I was not quilting but I did hem a pair of trousers that have been pinned since before Christmas???? and unravel a contain of crochet threads that once belonged to my mum????? But the company was great and made up for my lack of quilting. Cheers Glenda
