Halfway through June and I did not realise it was even June. I’m still back in April LOL. But it does say June on Esther’s blog???

Finally have my machine again after 6 weeks of no sewing machine, working on appliqueing down my pansy blocks
I have been drawing and cutting out two toned leaves this week each evening, I find them very relaxing to cut out but not so easy to draw any more with my hands, my DS came up with the idea of printing me some 3D templates with handles so I could just press down on these and I could see and draw much easier? Well it works I’m sold on the idea and can wiz these leaves out now and no sore knuckles or fingers?
moths were bad this year , chewed 2 of my favourite jerseys, on lovely cashmere from Scotland and a fine merino from Australia.

Here I have been cleaning the duckbill drain run off from palm seeds and sand. Now it can rain again?

Our local tourist train just went past, it tells me the time in the avo, one goes past at 2pm and another at 3.30pm?
Off to link with Esther on her WOW or WIP’s
Thank you for dropping in. Cheers Glenda
I have never had moths eat holes in my sweaters – I guess they are not here in my area, is there no way to store sweaters in tight lid boxes in your area maybe? Great idea on your leaves to applique
Hi Karen I’m still darning and embroidering the last sweater I keep finding holes that seem to grow bigger as I darn them???? My last jersey is going to end up my darns than knitted if I’m not careful LOL I store them in plastic containers which I add mothballs to but some how may be this jersey was on the top and had a moth before putting it away????? Leaves are going well, completed enough for the border and now making big peony blooms, 5 down 15 to go !!!! Cheers Glenda
I always enjoy seeing what’s happening in your garden/flowerbeds, so very different from here. Good save on the sweaters. Happy Stitching!
SO lovely to see you Gretchen and to visit you, I love Weeds and Tweeds specially the 3 wee trees with the clamshell sky behind them? Love those tiny 2 1/2 inch embroidery blocks?Still working darning one of the jerseys, the holes seem to be getting bigger???? Hugs from Down Under
So much to love in this post! Your pansies look lovely and how wonderful that your son made you special templates with handles for your appliqué leaves. I am curious about how you’re repairing the moth damage to your sweaters. Will you add additional embroidery or other embellishments to further camouflage the holes? I’ve got some favorite wool sweaters of my own that the moths have gotten to and I can’t wear them as-is but can’t think how to fix them, either.
Thanks for dropping in and chatting Rebecca, specially as you have been so so busy with your son graduation, how lovely he looked in his lilac colours and his quilt wrapped around him????? I did send you photo’s to your messenger on how I’m mending those holes and then adding the embroidery hope you received them. WIll add some phot”s to my blog again this week. If not let me know and I will try again. Have started machine appliqueing my pansy blocks for HOTYH now I have a sewing machine again. One does not realise how much you use them till you don’t have one???? Cheers Glenda
How clever of your DS to come up with that idea! Leaf making can be tedious but that little doohickey seems like it would be fun to use.
Your embroidery around the pansies(which are beautiful, btw) is immaculate. I wish I could be as skillful with the machine. Also love the button basket and ingenious mending.
Hello Jocelyn and thanks for dropping in. My leaf Doohicky is making drawing those leaves so easy now have over 400 little pieces drawn and cut out LOL. My friend has finished her button basket and I will take a photo of it next time I go over and upload here on my blog. I’m still working on mending I keep finding another hole LOL. To day I’m hoping to machine applique some more of WIL down. Cheers Glenda
