This will be the shortest blog on record for me LOL.

Hubby brought my iPad in to the hospital at 8pm now 10 pm sitting up on my hospital bed about to start to make a mini mini logcabin. I cut the strips on Monday, had my operation for a full knee replacement yesterday afternoon Tuesday, now Wednesday??? The medical world has come a long long way in the last 10 years where knee replacements go???

I Did manage to all most make one block but eyes, hands and mind were not working well together LOL. May be tomorrow will be better?
Happy sewing all off to link to Esther’s WOW or WIP’s Cheers Glenda
I admire your spirit Glenda. To come out of surgery and start quilting! Lot to learn from you.
Thank you Sobana, I’m just so thankful my specialist was able to give me his cancellation booking that happened just before I saw him, so from that visit I’ve been operated on a week later, how lucky am I. I will be pain free in the knee in 6 month and back walking freely, even walking my beloved beaches? Cheers Glenda.
hope you are doing well Glenda I have been thinking of you. I bet they have you up walking before you know it – I know they did for my brother when he had his – do they still intend to keep you for days on end? Hope you are home soon!
Hi Karen they had me up the first day standing on my leg , then yesterday walked about 30 metres on a trainer walker. Yes I’m in here for 10 days as I have a week in rehab working in the gym morning and night, we live to far from the hospital to travel to it twice a day, traverlling in a car is a no no if possible for the first 6 weeks. Truth is I have very fragile bones and any fall I could break some thing! So yes I’m having a holidayLOL. Not really but follow up treatment is so important for 100% recovery, back walking on the beach again? Sure have missed walking it every Wednesday morning. Hugs Glenda.
Oh that anaesthetic! Well tomorrow will be another day. My wishes for quick healing.
get better quickly
So glad you are doing well Glenda. It can only get better and better.
It must be hard to concentrate on sewing at the moment, but you couldn’t know beforehand if you would feel like sewing so it was good to have your fabric with you. I think you did well doing any stitching! When I had a small op some years ago I certainly didn’t think of sewing!
Hope you will be home soon!
Barbara xx
You are a real trooper! Glad the surgery was a success.
Oh my goodness I can only dream of having your enthusiasm Glenda. Sewing after surgery!! Best wishes for a speedy recovery and I’m sure you’ll be home soon

Hi Linda Sadly it did not last the next day my blood pressure fell through the floor and since then not a stitch as I can not focus enough to see where the stitches go in and out of the fabric. I just hope that after I stop taking these new drugs I can see clearly again??? I’m home again finally and it is so lovely to be here. Still no stitching but each day I think may be today!? It’s One day at a time right now. Hugs Glenda.
Oh goodness, you’re a trooper! I hope you’re recuperating well and that all is healing up from the surgery as it should. Only YOU would have a miniature sewing studio set up in the hospital bed! When I saw the photo of all of your fabrics and supplies piled up on your bed with you, I wondered whether you could also put a little Featherweight on that tray that fits over your bed with the foot pedal up on the tray, too, so you could push the “go” button with one hand and feed the fabric with the other hand. You know there are outlets RIGHT ON THE HOSPITAL BED for plugging in your sewing machine… I’m SURE that’s what those outlets are there for… 🙂
LLLOL. Thanks for the good laugh Rebecca just what I needed. I did wonder what those plugs were for other than recharging mobile phone and iPad LOL.
