Stems completed and have started to appliqué the vase on.

Have made a template from the opposite side to show where my oak and ovals will be.

I Have stitiched a running stitch around the ovals rather than mark with a pen.

A little difficult to see the running stitches in the photo but i now I can see where to place my flowers.

First flowers pinned?

A couple of lantern flowers stitched and padded. When I started this vase I kept thinking yellow, here is the start of the yellow I was thinking of.

Yellow petals basted around the wash away freezer paper ready to be appliquéd down and the 5th pink lantern flower added. Remember this is my flower arrangement not the original arrangement.

Oooh, what a wonderful work!
This will be an amazing Quilt!
Greetings Marle
Dear Marle, thanks so much for dropping in and for the encouragement it sure helps, some times I think am I going in the right direction still, then when some one drops in like you have you are off again. My last 7 days have just been spent on LE, I even got up extra early to take the garden photo’s so that I might find some time to day for more sewing and I’m just scrapping in as it is 3.30pm and I have been out ironing on some templates I made out of washaway freezer paper to some silk fabrics then cut out two cone flowers to baste then appliqué tonight so a little more will be added. Hugs Glenda
