My first WOW this year with Esther and my sewing starts with a healing heart I started to make this one last night. I find making these wee healing hearts is very very relaxing and I think about the person I’m making them for.
My New Year came in with a lovely surprise our Sunbirds came in to start nesting in their nest from last year and I was able to sit in my car New Years morning a metre from them and watch them. They are similar to humming birds and are hard to photograph as they constantly flit except when rebuilding their nest. My last blog it full of photos of them. here are a couple for today.

Yes can I help you she seams to be saying. She is not such a bright yellow and does not have the vibrant purple under her throat as he does. She also does most of the building inside the nest he is not aloud inside LOL
Another lovely New Year surprise was a wonderful parcel from Esther how spoilt I felt.

Then my piece of appliqué I’m taking with me at present when I rush out the door!!!!! It fits so snug in the centre; that piece is over a 1 1/2 metres square

Here it is ready to go and light as a feather. Isn’t it lovely? THANK YOU Esther you sure spoil your moderators.
Another surprise was a lovely white orchid plant from one of my Lovely DIL’s and yesterday hubby came home with a dozen red roses.

These are amazing frogs they just curl up any where and don’t care how close you get to them they won’t move.

I’m still on track with my circles as far as making them but way behind where I would like to be with sewing them together.

Playing with colour art, I loved colouring in as a child and enjoy it just as much now after 40 years or more of not doing it LOL
Have not been down to the beach this morning not 100% so no beach photo’s of garden ones. May add them later if I venture out?????
Off to link with Esther now at . http://www.estheraliu.blogspot.com/ I hope to see your links there too. SO far I have dropped in to see Karen, Jenny, Maggi, and Gretchen, so lovely to see what they are doing all ready this year it was lovely to read what they are up to over a coffee. . Cheers Glenda
I just love all your bits and pieces and that bag Esther sent you is wonderful – so cute and it looks like you can fill it chock full. Love the birds and frogs. Your circles are growing, I need to get more ready to prep – I’m working on too many things again like usual. That Gecko! how cute. Daughter loves those coloring books for adults too I found one for my Ipad but do not use it much – of course works a little differently.
Your hearts are pretty. The recipient will appreciate the block. It was very sweet of Esther to make the sewing kit bag, very lovely. I hope to be making a similar one for myself this winter. Blessings, Gretchen
Sorry to hear that you aren’t 100% right now – hope that you feel better soon.
Great photos as usual! Sunbirds and frog shots are amazing!
Wonderful present from Esther too – how lovely. Nice that you are already putting it to such good use!
Love the bag Esther sent you and your circles quilt. I use the colouring books for embroidery designs!
Love your Gecko Glenda, thanks for showing him to me. Your healing heart looks beautiful and the bag Esther sent you is gorgeous, so practical and obviously made with love. Everytime I see your circles I say must do that – oneday!!
Have a great 2016 Hugs Jenny
The bag Esther sent you is very special. It’s so cute that you started using it immediately! Your healing heart blocks are very special. It must be very rewarding to work on them.
Hi Jennifer thanks for dropping in. Just back from visiting your blog I do love your sparkly eyes LOL. Yes Esther’s bag is lovely I have been spoilt; it’s so easy to grab and pop in to my large shoulder bag I always use around our local shopping and Drs visits!!!! I did make those 1/2 circle Xmas trees you gave a tutorial on they are so cute. Glad you have joined in Quilty365 I’m right now joining my first 40 that I hoped to have had done by the end of 2015 but did not quiet make it. I have two more seams with 4 squares in each seam so very close to finishing. It reminded me that I and not checked my Jan Quilt365 mail so here I am writing again instead of sewing LOL. Cheers Glenda
I missed this post before.. My little bag is the same as yours I love it too. Almost missed the little pair of scissors in the pouch. She is so kind.
Feel better oh love your circle quilt. I have made a circle quilt years ago.
