My day started out with this lovely morning. Rained all night but no flood water in the unit this time. So hopefully the problem was solved with Hubby and DGS putting in a new drainage at the back of unit.
From ironing some vintage hankies an idea for a quilt evolved. If you want to see how I made these wee blocks up below check out my earlier blog.
First 4 blocks of 15 vintage linen hankies and dresden plates. These blocks are ending up 12inchs square and Im making them up in QAYG blocks they are delightful to do.
3rd of Jan I added the bottom panel to Sara’s quilt so now I have a quilt top???? this is my 1st challenge in 17Ufosin2017 with Meredith
After 17 days I have almost completed Sara’s quilt. only the top,sides and bottom to sahiko quilt all the machine quilting in the ditch is completed, Im feeling good about this one.
Also sahiko quilting this at present nearly finished. This was just before I started quilting it.
A perfect ball of red star flower?????

Busy day ahead as Im baby sitting for the next 6 hrs. So off now to join up with Esther Aliu WOW or WIPs Esther has just released a lovely new BOM called Diamond Hill.

you have many projects going at the same time once again don’t you! I love the star flower we have something like that here – it is a called a spider lily – not the same of course but something like it I have a lot of them in my yard in late summer – here is a link to what they look like.

LOL yes I all ways have several projects going at once, I get tired of working with jus tone colour, it depends on my mood what colours I like working with!!!!!! Now just cutting out pieces in pinks for Esther’s new BOM!. Im working in cottons for this not silks. cetnre 4 blocks are large so they will grow quickly no fiddly tiny pieces. Good luck with your 17 UFOs, they are looking great so far. I am trying to get my UFOs done too, but fortunately there are only two! But think it will be Easter before I get them both done!
