Back machine Appliquing WIL now I have a machine with the double blanket stitch?
You sure don’t appreciate your machine till you don’t have it?
Im still working on rescuing my winter jumpers, my last one turns out to be chewed in so many places and some big holes??? So lots of Darning first?
From this first darn I kept fining more and more holes !!!!!
My merino jersey was chewed up the worst, I have darned and then embroidered about 1/2 so far?
My last darn then may be 7 flowers to cover this big darn and may be 4 to finish the darn above it?Don’t be afraid to use contrasting shades of thread. My mum all ways said make a statement when covering some thing up, make it art????
Below some of the bouquets that were given to me last Friday for my birthday? Thank you all for your lovely messages on my FB, timeline, email, Messenger and Esther’s group. My house is like a florist shop still as we are having such cold days the flowers love it??? . I was very very spoilt?
This week I was making some repeat small pieces for a border and I was fussycutting the fabric, my fabric now looks quiet interesting ? LOL
How your fabric looks after you have been cutting out fabric for fussy cutting a piece of applique LOL.
Wrapt In Love is back on the table at last? Now weeks of machine appliqué can happen I hope, I have a small electronic sewing machine again with a double blanket stitch which i like to use the most, just as well as it doe snot have the single blanket stitch?
Some fabrics I hope I can use to join my WIL Centre blocks? I will need nearly 200 2 1/2 inch squares if I do it like I want too?
My old 1923 Singer now has the original belt and bits and pieces, My girlfriend who gifted me this darling old treadle was cleaning out her pantry and found them LOL. Now All back with each other? Pkt of needles and a flint brush still in there sealed holders? Even has the oil in a pkt???
My DGS’s lovely partner found these some where and bought me these two cousins as she was sure I could use the embroidery pieces in Broderier Perse in my Quilts, I dated them at around 1970’s 1980’s . I cut the centres out leaving a good 1/2 inch and my girlfriend did what you see below ?

Margaret has joined the two cousions together to make a shoulder bag? Added Prairie Points where I removed the embroidery plus in the seams around the outside???

In the garden today?
A very young giant treefern she is about 7 years old
She now hangs over the path completely
In the garden Moss and fungi are growing like weeds
As fast as I gurney these blocks the moss grows back after 7 months of rain the bricks are full of the moss spores?
These blocks are meant to bed a deep red?
We call these ferns Birds Nests?
This trunk has grown itself around the post and planks?
Some Merecats! hidding in the leaves?
This is a very very old plant, I’ve just noticed termites are building a nest around it?

Very little colour in the garden at the moment, just our lovely lillies
I even do flower arrangements out side in pots?
Our little local tourist train just went past at the bottom of our place.

Hi Gretchen wish I had your sun today down here it is so cold. Almost to cold to just sit at the machine and sew????? I’ve decided to do some piecing sewing and that makes me get up constantly and iron so I keep moving??? Ironing warms me up toLOL Hugs from Ozzie Land
