Oct has slipped through the door which means Spring is here and only 3 months left of 2019?
My last 6 weeks since I had my complete knee replacement has been revolving around exercises to get my knee and leg working. After 3 weeks in hospital I have had 3 weeks plus home, lucky for me my hubby had made lots of gadgets to help me at home with the knee bending.
Built to help bend my knee
In the bent position
Covered with a sheep skin.
Getting that leg bending? From this position the foot moves towards me and bends the knee with out an weight bearing
Icemachine, pad that is strapped on to the knee and tubes from Bunnings and a car Eskie filled with ice water
Inside eskie is a fish pump to pump the ice water through the knee cover it’s gives so much relief to the pain in the knee. Great having a macanical hubby, he made both this and the knee bender for me. Plus the wee skate board for using while sitting in a chair , my foot rests on it and I push it backwards and forwards to help bend the knee.
My bike treadle and a tiny skate boardLOL.
My little companion, she follows me ALL day?
Wearing hubbys hat?
Some more lovely HH they all arrived when I really needed a boost, they have helped me so much over the last 6 weeks more than any one will know. Every one was so different. So if you have ever wondered did they help, for me they got me through some tough moments! And have given me so much pleasure looking at them each day.
The stunning one Below is one from Susan her name is there just hard to find.
From Inez who was going on holiday the next day but took the time to make and post me this lovely HH.
Working on a small Huskstar sewing machine, hoping to get it running again after cleaning and oiling it.
Oiling and cleaning a little EQ 10 Huskstar hoping I can get it running again? A friend visited me on Monday and gifted me the lovely roses.
only sewing I can do at the moment is some hand quilting, eyes can not see to do any applique, hoping when I stop the medication for my knee I will be able to see clearly again?
Buried under my 1930’s GMFG and my little dog is too, doing some hand quilting inside those tiny hexagon. I’m quilting inside each one.
Sashiko quilting my Mothe rs and war quilt when I can stay awake?
Close up of one of the flowers from my GMFG quilt
Garden is looking dismal as I have not been able to do any thing in it the last 6 weeks and we have had no rain for 2 months. I did put the sprinkler on yesterday?
One day Iris, these are little self plantings and yesterday there were around 40 of them flowering, they all flower within a week of each other? Then it’s all over
Stunning red Lilly that all ways gives me a great show!
One day Iris, great colours for a quilt!? Cheers
Native orchid it has been here the last 23 years never seems to get any bigger or smaller?
Last of the cosmos but still looks lovely in the late afternoon sun?
Thanks for dropping by and hopefully I will be dropping by your way again to soon Cheers Glenda
Lovely flowers! We had a freeze last night, and I can to put my fuschia to bed in the garage, although I took a few cutting to grow inside this winter. We also brought the geranium in and will see how it does indoors.
You have a couple of lovely helpers on site and those beautiful hearts. Glad you have company and tender care.
The Shashiko is gorgeous. Thanks for posting!
Oh dear Glenda you have been through the wars. I had hoped you were well on the way to being fully recovered. Great that you have such a handy hubby. Keep up the good work and take care . Hugs Sue Taylor

My goodness. I know you are going stir crazy. Get back to normal soon I hope.
Glad your recovery is going well. You are fortunate to have such a handy husband. Your hearts are so varied, I can see why they bring you joy. Have patience!
So sorry I have taken so long to say hi Gretchen, my mind is willing but my body thinks different and I fall asleep as soon as I start to sew or write to my mail. I get one or two messages done and I’m asleep. 1/3 or more of the day I’m asleep? Hubby went back to work 3 days this week then a full 5 days from next week. I just have to pace my self, I have breakfast and lunch as one meal so that solves making one meal. LOL. I have 5 beds scattered around where I’m living at present so it is easy to lye down quicklyLOL. Every where is flat so I can manoeuvre my wheeler walker with no problems but Im using it less and less now. In a few weeks I hope I’m sewing more than unpicking LOL. Cheers Glenda.
Dear Glenda
So glad you are getting beter. I have enjoyed reading about all the inventions your hubby made to help you with getting your landlegs back. Those healing hearts are special. We are very blessed to belong to such an amazing group of women the world over.
