Sewing wise I’m happy with my progress as I found enough time to complete quilting 6 blocks prep 4 ready to quilt and 12 ready to sew the corners have 4 pockets ready to sew and unpicked the sleeves from a woollen kimono to make 4 more pockets so a very good week for me at present.
My big bonus this week was picking up 30 plus sewing kits each one a different embroidery package with needle and thread enclosed?????? I will do these while I wait for appointments or for my Grandies if they want a sewing project. ????
Life never ceases to amaze me specially in the tropics. this morning I saw this unusual leaf on the paves about 2 1/2 ” long
Last week Cynthia uploaded a photo of a quilt she was working on and it reminded me of one I had as a WIP!!!!! Well I have not found it yet but did find a photo taken before I put it away?????? I had no idea what the pattern was called I just started making these whirls and joining them with triangles, I had no pattern just drafted them to fit????? After seeing Cynthia’s I did some research and I think it’s called a ballerina????? SO this is for you Cynthia!!!!
Off to join up with Esther now at http://www.estheraliu.blogspot.com
Happy stitching all Glenda
That baby is beautiful you lucky girl. Love the beach photo and that bug I sent you information on that bug. You sure have interesting animals around your area. Love to see them all (of course at a distance ) LOL.

Hi Glenda, I always enjoy the photos you have shown but my husband is quite taken with the pictures of insects from your part of the world. He identified the green leaf insect as being in the “katydid” family. The one shown was a female and the unusual part of her body you mentioned is an “ovipositor” (she uses it to deposit her eggs). I just thought you might be interested. My husband is an entomologist and is always finding specimens( he specializes in beetles). That leaves me plenty of quiet time to sew when I am not organizing my sewing space. I know that Esther lit a fire with me and my room is almost finished.
