We spent Easter morning at my Eldest sons home where we had an Easter egg hunt and had hot cross buns and coffee with lots of wonderful conversation and laughter. They spent many years in Vienna and each Easter my DDIL would buy a blown decorated egg at the Easter markets. Below are a few she had hanging on a Easter tree on the front veranda.
DG Children had lots of fun hunting.
For easter my hubby brought home 4 new flowering pot plants, then he made up some planters out of this winters firewood timber to be, made up a bench in front of my small sun porch, I don’t like chocolate so it was a wonderful surprise and gift.
Sewing wise this week it has just been spent joining the QAYG blocks, over 1/2 way so I’m very pleased.
All for this week as it is school holidays and any spare moments are spent with them.

Those eggs are beautiful Glenda as is your progress with your QAYG blocks, love how it is coming together. Your DH has done a great job with your planter boxes.
Sounds like you had a lovely easter with your family. Hugs, Jenny
Hi Jenny yes my hubby is like yours handy with his hands.I think most Kiwi’s are and most Ozzies too. I don’t think I will get that much done in the sewing way till after the school holidays. My DGD leaves for UNI next year so this is the last year I will have school holidays with her so I must make the most of it. It was gorgeous down at the beach at 7am this morning but by 8.30 it was 30C!!!!! Hugs Glenda
love the eggs and love the veranda – it is so nice and deep, shady just the way I love them. I have so much outside cleaning to do outside not that the warm weather is coming – I never get it all done but I try to do what I can. Mike is working full time again so I will only have help from him on the outside stuff when he is available – which means the weekends as the work week he is too tired when he gets home.
‘Hi Karen, yes their veranda is Huge but they spend most of their time out there including meals. They have a very large yard also where the deer and the kangaroo’s come to feed plus the neighbours 3 horses. I love going out there. My DGD did 7 hrs water blasting yesterday with a commercial gurney on our bricks and pavers, it smells and looks so much better, we are now over 1/2 way with that clean up now after the wet. Hubby only has the week-ends to help also, he has no intentions of retiring till he’s 80 plus LOL. which is not that far away any more. one of our DS’s mows the orchard now for us which takes around 3 hrs so that is wonderful. Hugs Glenda
