These are sososososo adorable. I made the large one of the mum and then 11 other quilters from ALL over OZ made one darling block each month for 11 months for me. How lucky I am to have these darling adorable blocks. A BIG THANK you to all who made them. I will add your names here when I copy them all off the blocks. OH so many memories when I read your names when I was opening the blocks.
After saying I had nothing to show !!!!!!!!
Look what I just came across????? Hubby has just emptied a small storage area and there were 5 large plastic boxes of my gear in there, first box I have opened had these adorable blocks in them, HOW could I have missed placed these adorable blocks but worse still why did I not make them in to a quilt when they all arrived back after 12 months going from quilter to quilter all around OZ?????? Did I start work full time, was I sick, did Xmas New Year and life just happen????? What ever happened Im so glad to find them again and just hope I make a quilt this time, I will use black or a bright pink to join them all together. My favourite doll as a child was my Gollywog. I grew up in NZ and my play mates before I went to school were Maori children so my favourite doll had to looked just like them. If any of you see these blocks here it would be lovely to hear from you after 8 years HUGS Glenda??????

Im going to add this to Esther’s WOW or WIP’s now and then I will bring the blocks to the computer and slowly add the names to each picture saying who made these darling blocks for me, my goodness I was spoilt. No wonder I so enjoyed been in those online swap blocks back 10 years ago. Again thank you ALL for making these special special blocks for me.
2 hrs later I have just added the last names to my darling blocks. Once again I need to say Thank You to you all, what wonderful memories it has brought back writing your names under you wonderful adorable blocks.
Cheers Glenda
Such a cute bunch of gollies!!! All waiting patiently to be made into a quilt – do show us when you get up to this stage.
I was hoping to have a black or pink frame around them today Jenny but it took a lot longer to add every ones name to each Golly than I thought so may be tomorrow??? Thanks for dropping by I’m off to visit you now LOL. Happy
Glenda
Hey there Glenda,
If those cuties were in the first box makes me wonder what other treasures you will discover in the others!
Hugs Wendy & Co.
Hi Wendy to be honest these stopped me in my tracks this morning and I did not look any further. It took me 3 hrs to upload them on to my blog and name them all LOL. Will let you know tomorrow what else I find LOL been busy washing to day and the other endless house hold chores but it was such fun playing with my Gollies. Hugs Glenda

Your Gollies are soooo cute Glenda, what a pleasure it must have been to find them, have fun and enjoy the memories as you make them a quilty bed to nestle in, Hugs Jenny
Hi Jenny around 2000 I joined a postage swap group here in OZ It was wonderful and the group ran for 6 years and I was in around 18 swap groups in the 6 years that means 18 sets of 12 blocks from red-work, blue work, appliqué , pieced blocks, and candle-wicking blocks???? Ive made up a couple of the sets but the rest still nestle in boxes some where LOL. It was such fun to find these yesterday though Hugs Glenda
Hi Glenda,
I remember making your Golly Block way back when.
Currently living in Tasmania, but on the market selling and heading back home to WA.
I too have been finishing off so many PHD’s.
